About Scott, Our Founder

Scott is the founder and principal at OS Impact Investments (Opening Seed), a boutique investment firm investing in emergent world-changing businesses. He trained as an environmental engineer and brings over 40 years of global business experience to OS Impact. He has worked internationally in leadership roles across engineering, IT, commodities, marketing, and strategy with the Mars family of businesses. As founder of Strategy Arts, a founding B Corp, he worked with nonprofits and governments to tackle poverty and public health inequities including extensive work with the National Institutes of Health(NIH), the American Cancer Society, and the President’s Cancer Panel. In addition to his work with OS Impact, Scott is a leader in Philadelphia’s impact community, chair emeritus of B Local Philly, an active investor member of Investors Circle angle network, serves on the board of two of OS Impacts startups and is also a principal at InLocalyst, which supports mission-driven investments in underserved communities.
